The rock cycle is an important part of earth. Rocks is what you and I stand on. But how do these rocks form? What are the different types of rocks? Lets find out!
Igneous- when magma cools it hardens into a rock called an igneous rock
Sedimentary- is pieces of rocks that have been buried and pressed together to form layers
Metamorphic- a rock that has a lot of heat and pressure and goes through a physical or chemical change
To get sediments, a rock needs to be weathered away and then those sediments can become sedimentary rocks.
To get magma a rock needs to be heated so much that it melts and then the magma can cool to become igneous rocks.
To get the heat and pressure for the metamorphic rock it needs to be buried really deep because the pressure from the top layers can squash it and the heat from the Earths core can heat it.
